ووفقا للنسخة الأولية، فإن الحريق الذي بدأ في ليلة 3 آذار/مارس يرتبط بالعملية التكنولوجية. ويواصل الخبراء التحقيق في أسباب الحريق. وأفيد في وقت سابق أن الحريق في المؤسسة بدأ بالقرب من فرن الاحتراق. الإنقاذ أزالوه بسرعة وذُكر أيضاً أنه لم يُسجل أي فائض من المواد الضارة بالقرب من المصنع. ولم ترد تقارير عن وقوع إصابات. وأفاد عدد من قنوات التليغرام، التي استشهدت بشهود عيان، بأن الحريق بدأ بسبب هجوم الطائرات بدون طيار التابعة للوحدة. غير أنه لم تكن هناك بيانات رسمية عن ذلك.
