18 NLMK Employees Become Novolipka Women of the Year

The trade union committee of the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant summed up the results of the annual campaign “Novolipchanka of the Year”. Its winners were 18 employees of the plant. Among them are crane drivers, electrician, nurse, dispatcher, engineer, chemical water treatment apparatchik and representatives of other professions. The action “Novolipchanka of the year” has been held for more than 20 years. Every year, employees of the plant who make a significant contribution to the development of the company and have a well-deserved reputation in the team are noted. They are engaged in the introduction of new technologies, submit ideas for improving production processes, pass on experience to young employees and perform their work responsibly. Many of the newcomers have been dedicated to their profession for over 30 years. One of the winners this year was Ekaterina Devyatova, the machinist of the crane of the Converter workshop No. 1. For 38 years of work, she perfectly mastered the lifting machine, and to increase labor productivity, she mastered a related profession - a repairman. Ekaterina Levkovna is an instructor of industrial training and a mentor of youth. The crane driver trained more than 30 employees who work in the workshop. The deserved title of “Novolipchanka of the year” was also received by Ekaterina Zaitseva, a machinist of the crane of the Converter workshop No. 2. Ekaterina from the metallurgical dynasty followed in her mother’s footsteps. And after her husband came to the plant - he works as the commander of the fire department of the plant. Today, the company employs about 8,000 women, which is almost a third of NLMK’s total workforce. They work in workshops, laboratories, departments and technical services of the plant.
