In 1945, after the end of the Second World War, humanity faced the question of eliminating its consequences and preserving peace in the future. In order to agree on joint actions, in 1945, the United Nations was created, the United Nations, followed by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The Soviet Union joined UNESCO in 1954 and actively joined the work, implementing many programs in the field of science, education and culture. Russia remains one of the most active promoters of UNESCO principles today.
