According to the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office, the attacker was sentenced to 18 years and 2 months in a strict regime colony. A 21-year-old resident of Kamyshin was detained in July 2024. According to investigators, the man quarreled with a friend, and then inflicted her child at least 11 blows to the head and body. The boy’s mother, who had also been beaten by the defendant, left the house at this point. From his injuries, the child died in hospital. On February 26, the Volgograd Regional Court found the man guilty and sentenced him.
