Due to the fault of pedestrians in Krasnodar last year there were 94 accidents, 15 people died in them. In two months of this year, 7 pedestrians were injured. To avoid such situations, the traffic police recommend pedestrians wait for the car to stop completely before the pedestrian crossing. Children are a particular risk category. Eternal torpedoes most often do not look around and try to cross the road as quickly as possible. And there are those who move on a bicycle or scooter and do not hurry in front of the zebra. You can also protect yourself with the help of reflective elements. “Since they have the retro-reflective effect of headlamps, they should be placed as low as possible. Not on the head, not on the neck, not on the shoulders. Because the driver, when driving, lights the legs first, then the knees, etc. If you place it on your head, it will be the last thing to notice, explains Vladimir Petrakov, head of the traffic safety promotion department of the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Krasnodar. Drivers, in turn, need to consider the weather. Especially when there is ice on the road. The police regularly conduct preventive raids. For example, in Sochi for 5 days fined almost 400 people. They crossed the road in the wrong place - this is the most common violation. Drivers were also issued almost 200 fines for not allowing pedestrians on a zebra. Such raids will continue.
