Bright farewell to the winter: in Volgograd there were olive festivities

Well, spring is here! Residents of our country celebrated the brightest, tasty and fervent holiday - Maslenitsa. Fun: with dances and songs! That’s how Volgograders spend this day. For convenience, all thematic festivities were organized at the sites of cultural centers, parks and squares throughout the city. In the Voroshilov district, guests were greeted by creative teams, the organizers prepared a relay with korommyst, master classes in the manufacture of dolls. You could try on the role of a blacksmith. And where without the main attribute of the holiday - delicious and fragrant pancakes. "The mood is great!" Pancakes are usually eaten with jam, sour cream, butter, caviar, says a resident of Volgograd. I eat pancakes in Maslenitsa, I like condensed. The most courageous and strong conquered the six-meter pole. The main city festivities unfolded in the Central Park of Culture and Rest. On a sunny weekend, thousands of people gathered here, and all in order to participate in festive events and see how the eight-meter Maslenitsa burns. About half a cubic meter of wooden timber was used for the manufacture of stuffed clothes, and 50 meters of fabric were used for sewing clothes. To burn even better, Maslenitsa was filled with fir sawdust, straw and branches. Thousands of people are waiting for such an unforgettable event. “Come here with children and friends. We have a big company. It's cool, it's fun. We are resting, we like everything, says Volgogradets. “Spring is coming, new life! Everything is blossoming, everything begins, says a local resident. “It is the sunniest holiday, it has its own atmosphere. It is very fun to spend time with family and friends, explains Volgogradka. And here is the long-awaited moment - the culmination of the holiday! The burning of Maslenitsa from time immemorial symbolizes not only a farewell to winter, but also the renewal of nature, the beginning of the life cycle, which must be met in a special way - without evil thoughts and deeds, reports STRK "Volgograd-TRV".
