📝 Summary

Russia and China plan to abolish the visa regime. At the moment, representatives of both countries are taking steps to make it easier for citizens of neighboring countries to travel.

The ongoing work in this direction was reported by the Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Embassy Zhang Wei. According to him, which leads TASS, it will bring a lot of benefits. “We want to make travel more convenient for citizens of both countries, so that they meet more often, go to each other. This is only useful, the diplomat notes. I think this is the wish of every citizen of China and Russia. At the same time, he clarifies that the parties continue to discuss the introduction of a visa-free regime between Russia and China and promote their solution. However, it was difficult to name the exact date of the outcome of these negotiations. However, Wei made it clear that it may not take much time. “We will exchange views on these issues because our purpose is the same. But, of course, the issue affects many departments of the PRC and Russia. It takes some time. But I think it won't be long.” China has said it cannot change the "sustainable and stable" relations between the two countries. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi noted that these relations are not subject to interference by third parties.
