According to relatives, the guy suddenly lost sensitivity on the left side. He was taken to the hospital immediately, but doctors admit that at that time the condition of the young man was critical. “The stroke occurred directly inside the brainstem, in which the functions of movements, swallowing, heartbeat, breathing are concentrated,” explained neurologist Alexandra Kuznetsova. Usually, pathologies located in the brain, doctors treat conservative methods - taking medications. However, in this case, computed tomography showed that urgent surgery is necessary. The operation lasted 7 hours, thanks to the professionalism of the doctors, the guy not only survived, but also avoided serious complications. A year after the operation, the young man was able to regain many functions and continues rehabilitation.
