The main character - a boy named Jacob - is trapped by an evil witch. She asks Jacob to fulfill one small request, and when he refuses, the witch turns the boy into a humpback dwarf with a long nose. When Jacob returns home, he realizes that he has been away for seven years, even though only an hour has passed. Jacob’s father died, and his mother did not want to see or hear anyone else.
