Five thousand tulips decorated the Duma tower in St. Petersburg

On March 8, the Duma Tower in St. Petersburg blossomed with thousands of tulips. Flowers decorated the space of window niches, steps and observation deck. Fringe, pion- and parrot-shaped tulips are only those that immediately catch the eye. In total, there are more than 20 varieties. Pink, white, yellow, red, orange. Five thousand tulips adorn the Duma tower. But a separate kind of pleasure is to go up to the observation room. To do this, you need to overcome 233 steps. But in the end you find yourself in a real spring with a view of the historical part of the city. Flowers everywhere you look. In window niches, on the steps, and even on the street, in front of the main entrance. “The onset of calendar spring is generally very cold in our region. And we wanted there to be a time of smile, there was a time for love, there was a time for beauty, and we all felt spring, said Daria Pogoretskaya, director of the Tchaikovsky Center for Musical Culture. When decorating the tower, experts decided not to stop at one color scheme, so each floor is literally full of a variety of tones and shades. The conditions and temperature in the tower are suitable for the tulips to feel great and stay fresh for a long time. They will create a festive mood and please visitors for at least three weeks. And when they do, they will give away all of their desires.
