📝 Summary

Paris will continue to transfer intelligence data to Ukraine, despite the US decision to suspend the transfer of such data, French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu said.

France has spent a lot of time improving its intelligence capabilities in recent years. “Our intelligence is sovereign. It took a long time to strengthen it in recent years, but the advantage is that we did it with our own capabilities. So yes, we have intelligence resources that we provide to the Ukrainians, the defense minister told France Inter radio. Earlier, the head of the CIA, John Ratcliffe, confirmed that the United States had frozen the transfer of intelligence to Kiev. The U.S. side also prohibited allies with access to U.S. intelligence data regarding Russia from transferring them to Ukraine for strikes against mobile targets of the Russian Federation. The Axios portal, citing a source close to the Ukrainian government, previously wrote that it was the freezing of the transfer of intelligence that could prompt Volodymyr Zelensky to declare “sadness” in connection with the skirmish with US President Donald Trump. According to representatives of Ukrainian military intelligence, in case of suspension of the transfer of data of American intelligence, Kiev has a “plan B”.
