The driver from the Leningrad region, due to which two passengers died in an accident and three were injured, is accused of providing services that do not meet safety requirements.
The fatal accident, which led to the death of a 42-year-old woman and a nine-year-old child, occurred on the eve, March 7, 2025, between the city of Tosno and the village of Ushaki, Tosnensky district. Three more passengers with various injuries were hospitalized in a medical facility. According to the investigation, the suspect rented a foreign car for the purpose of paid transportation of passengers. The prescribed documents allowing such services, the man was not, according to the regional Sledkom. It was reported that the driver of the vehicle lost control, after which the car literally wound on the support of city electric lighting. From a strong lateral impact, windows and doors flew out, and the body crumpled. A criminal case has been opened against the 49-year-old driver. Investigators establish the causes and circumstances of the incident.
