The incident occurred in June 2024 in one of the dormitories of Lipetsk. The accused recklessly dropped the baby from a height of at least a meter. After hitting the floor, the four-month-old boy lost consciousness. Angry, the father began to shake the baby and caused him bodily harm. The mother of the child, the man explained that the son lost consciousness because he choked. The doctors who came to the call concluded that loss of consciousness is a consequence of traumatic brain injury. The woman then went to the police. The man was arrested. During the interrogation, he confessed to what he had done. “His guilt is confirmed by the evidence collected by the investigator of the regional Investigative Committee of Russia, which allowed the criminal case with the approved indictment to be sent to court,” the report said. The man is accused of intentionally causing serious harm to health. He faces up to ten years in prison.
