Sitting in the dock, the head of the sports complex Vyacheslav Mamochkin and his former subordinate – swimming coach Marina Vasilyeva, do not communicate. They perceive their accusations differently. Although they are being tried for one fatal incident - a year and a half ago, 12-year-old Roma Karmanov drowned in the pool. Listening to the words of the accusation, the mother of the deceased Roma Irina Karmanova does not restrain her emotions, as if she returned to that ill-fated day when the only son did not return from training. The tragedy occurred in November 2023. The first thing that was wrong, according to the materials of the case, was noticed by the boy’s comrades, because coach Marina Vasilyeva left. Which has happened before, says the victim. Vasilyeva and Mamochkin are charged under the article "Provision of services that do not meet security requirements." The former director of the sports complex admitted his guilt in part and a year and a half after the tragedy decided to apologize to the parents of the boy. But his former subordinate does not admit guilt. This is only the first hearing, there are still interrogations of witnesses, and the prosecution intends to summon the children who were swimming with the deceased Roma to the court.
