In St. Petersburg will be tried ex-policemen in the case of extortion

According to the investigation, the gang, whose participants were the duty officer and police driver of the 59th police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Vyborg district, a citizen of Turkmenistan, a native of Azerbaijan and a local resident, in November 2023 extorted 300 thousand rubles from a 32-year-old man. In order to obtain the amount, they pursued their victim, including on cars, creating a threat of an accident, and also used violence. On the evening of November 21, the man was summoned for a conversation in a cafe on the Roadside Alley, where he came with his friend. Two accomplices and a police officer again demanded that the victim pay 300 thousand for not bringing him to criminal responsibility for the trauma of the woman. The victim through his fault fell from the motorcycle of the man and received injuries, said in the UK. After the men refused to pay, the gang members beat them and put them in a UAZ Patriot police officer. The victims, fearing for their lives and health, stole a car and drove to the 59th police department, hoping for help. At the same time, the accomplices began to pursue them and shoot traumatic weapons at the car. Near one of the houses on Lilac Boulevard, the defendants blocked the car of the victims, beat them and stole 160 thousand rubles from one of the men. Then the victims were taken to the 59th police department, where they were drawn up reports of alleged petty hooliganism. A criminal case was opened against the participants of the criminal group. Depending on the role of each, they are accused of robbery, extortion and abuse of authority. the materials of the criminal case are sent to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment.
