They are recognized conditionally clean and all restrictions are removed after the site has become conditionally clean, there continuous felling is allowed. If earlier it was impossible to plow mineralized strips to fight fires, now it is possible, if it was impossible to use artificial reforestation, now it is possible, says the expert. According to the expert, in order to change the status of the radiation-contaminated forest area to conditionally clean, specialists conduct a comprehensive survey of the entire forest area. Scientists from the Spanish University of Oviedo found that frogs living in an area subjected to intense radiation pollution due to the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, became immune to radiation.
