The task force of the Sochi National Park together with the police detained a man who illegally hunted in the area of Uch-Dere. The poacher, who had already shot the ahir, a forest pigeon, seized an unregistered smoothbore weapon.
The case has been referred to the police. It will be considered under article 258 of the criminal code, which provides for a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles, correctional labor or imprisonment for up to two years. Hunting is prohibited in Sochi National Park.
