In Vladivostok, after the renovation, a choreographic school was opened - the oldest in the region. Almost 140 million rubles were allocated for the capital renovation of the building under the Cultural Environment project. The details are from Oksana Danyluk. The building at Fountain, 36 was built in the 30s of the last century. It is a cultural heritage site of regional importance. In the 90s, the first and then the only choreographic school in the Far East was opened here, led by Viktor Vasyutin. After major repairs in the halls again engaged young ballerinas. The ballet gymnastics lesson is led by Julia Lomukhin. She has been at this school for thirty years. “I have been working at this school since its foundation. Since '94. It's in this room. I am so pleased to return to it again, admitted the teacher-choreographer of the school at the Primorsky Regional College of Arts Julia Lomukhin. Not only girls, but also boys are involved here. With young nails, a sense of beauty, a gallant attitude to a lady and strict discipline are brought up. After all, the gentle art of ballet requires a lot of strength. With the closure for repairs, the parents of the pupils feared that the building would go for other purposes. But thanks to the regional project "Cultural Environment", a unique school has been preserved. “For two years we built it and, as they say, built it. Of course, it took a lot of money. $127 million just for repairs. And plus nine million for the improvement of the territory. It was necessary to equip it in a modern way, said Maxim Burdelo, First Deputy Minister of Culture and Archival Affairs of the Primorsky Territory. Renovated the roof and attic, replaced all pipes and electricity systems. Video surveillance, fire and security alarms have been installed. There was a dining room and a medical office, spacious classes for general education subjects. The school has 100 seats. “We are launching from September 1, for the first time in the region, an additional pre-professional, general education program “The Art of Ballet”, which will prepare children for admission to our Moscow State Academy of Choreographic Arts branch – Primorsky,” said Tatyana Safronova, deputy director of the Primorsky Regional College of Arts. Children will come here on a competitive basis. The school is part of the Primorsky College of Arts. Interestingly, many teachers-choreographers studied in these walls.
