INTERVALS is an annual festival in Nizhny Novgorod dedicated to media art. It includes a city media exhibition, educational and music program. Over 6 years of its existence, INTERVALS has become the largest and most significant event in its genre. The organizers aim to show how audiovisual art can transform space and influence the perception of the environment. The purpose of the event is to make media art accessible and understandable to everyone. That is why the media exhibition takes place right in the city and it is always free to enter. The festival covers a wide audience: last year INTERVALS was visited by more than 100,000 people! INTERVALS 2023 will feature works by renowned media artists, studios and musicians from Russia, Australia, China, Japan and Indonesia. The venue of the festival will be the center of Nizhny Novgorod and its unusual architectural locations. You will see large-scale street installations, 3D mappings on the facades of buildings, kinetic and interactive works, as well as media installations inside architectural monuments and modern buildings.
