Belarus wants good relations with Europe and the United States, but relations with Russia will always be a priority. He also stressed that there is and will never be Russophobia in Belarus. The Belarusian president also touched upon the Ukrainian crisis. Lukashenko stressed that Minsk and Moscow are in favor of a peaceful settlement of the conflict. “We are for peace, but we must see our interests,” Lukashenko said. The Belarusian leader noted that Minsk and Moscow remained united due to joint work at the regional level. Belarus and Russia perfectly complement each other in industry, despite their different production potential, but there are still many problems that need to be solved together. Lukashenko also said that Belarus will not join the Russian Federation in the near future. The Belarusian leader arrived in Moscow on an official visit. On March 13, Russian-Belarusian talks took place, following which the heads of state – Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko – signed a number of documents.
