The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past day lost in the Kursk region more than 180 soldiers. The total losses of the Armed Forces since the beginning of hostilities (from August 6, 2024) in the Kursk direction exceeded 65.5 thousand people, the Defense Ministry reports.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past day lost in the Kursk region more than 180 soldiers. The total losses of the Armed Forces since the beginning of hostilities (from August 6, 2024) in the Kursk direction exceeded 65.5 thousand people, the Defense Ministry reports.
Over the past day, Russian troops also destroyed two infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) of the Armed Forces, including one Marder BMP manufactured in Germany, two armored personnel carriers (APCs), seven armored vehicles, 13 cars, two self-propelled artillery units (SAUs) Panzerhaubitze 2000 produced in Germany, four guns, three mortars, three UAV control points and an ammunition depot. "Since August 6, 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 65,580 servicemen, 386 tanks, 298 infantry fighting vehicles, 259 armored personnel carriers, 2,144 armored vehicles, 2,341 vehicles, 522 guns, 52 launchers of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), including 13 HIMARS installations and seven US-made MLRS installations, 119 electronic warfare stations, 15 counter-battery warfare radars, nine air defense radars and other equipment," the ministry said. Meanwhile, the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, in an address to the citizens of Ukraine on March 8, did not touch upon the situation of the AFU units in the Kursk region, where they were in the operational environment. The Telegraph newspaper reported yesterday that 10 thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were under threat of encirclement near Sudzha in the Kursk region.
