In 1941, most of the Tula region was occupied for three months. It would seem that the period is short, but for the inhabitants of the region these days have become an eternity. The remains of civilians brutally destroyed by the Nazis on Tula land continue to be found and reburied to this day. Tula region, Chekalin is one of the smallest cities in Russia. Only 500 houses and less than a thousand inhabitants. In the building of the Chekalinsk outpatient clinic during the occupation of the Tula region in 1941, a German military unit was located. In the archive, searchers found information that prisoners of war were buried in the eastern part of the hospital area. When the excavations began, it turned out that the remains were much more. The work lasted three years - so high was the density of the burial. 22 kids. It's a year and a half old. They died a violent death. This is only one of dozens of such cases. For the Investigative Committee of Russia, the investigation into the genocide of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War is a kind of matter of honor. They study archival materials, search for burial places of citizens who died during the Great Patriotic War. This work will continue until all those who have fallen victim to the punitive forces who, having received a death license, have been found.
