The main festive events unfolded on Victory-Sofia Square and gathered many people who wanted to celebrate spring and have fun.
The preparation of pancakes is sometimes a real stunt number, and indeed: only at first glance it seems that this science is simple. But on this day, they tried to treat everyone with small suns, so that everyone felt the holiday of the arrival of spring. The main fun of Maslenitsa is the contest "Get a rooster". Those who wanted to do it were good enough that day. One of those who reached the cherished cage on a 10 meter pole was Novgorod resident Egor Sharonov. Selfies with ceremonial dolls-maslenitsa tried to make almost every guest. And their craftsmen presented dozens - one more beautiful than the other and almost for every taste: large and small, with pancakes and without, and even with spring sun in their hands or over their heads. Well, the key event of that day was the rite of burning Maslenitsa. But the first thing in the Yaroslavl courtyard started a cheerful carousel and began to call Maslenitsa. Yuri Levikov
