The title of "Cultural Capital of Russia" officially passed to Grozny. The city became the winner of the eponymous federal competition, organized with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. Its implementation was discussed at the briefing. According to the chairman of the organizing committee of State Duma deputy Nikolai Novichkov, this status allows cities to demonstrate the historical and cultural heritage, traditions and achievements of peoples throughout the country.
