Two locomotives and 28 cars derailed. “The carriages of the freight train derailed, then it collided with the cars of the oncoming freight train, which was on the neighboring path,” the report said. Train traffic in this area has been suspended. Passenger trains will be delayed. Four recovery trains are heading to the scene. According to preliminary data, the driver of the oncoming train was injured. The headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of the incident is chaired by the first deputy head of Russian Railways Sergey Kobzev. Restoration works are controlled by the head of the Trans-Baikal Railway Vladimir Antonets.
