Politico: the role of Kellogg in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict is in question

According to the publication, the role of Kellogg is now in question. “It is unclear why the president will not make a final decision on this matter. There are already too many key actors, plus [Trump Special Representative Steve] Whitcoff, trying to play the role of the hero who will end the war. Kellogg follows the others, adding to the confusion around who is doing what, a senior administration official told the newspaper. Earlier, the American and political analyst Pavel Dubravsky said that in the event of Moscow’s refusal from Washington’s terms for a ceasefire and a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, Russia could face new restrictive measures. In his opinion, the United States will try to put pressure on Russia by increasing sanctions in the banking sector, as well as by imposing secondary sanctions on other countries.
