The Progress MS-30 cargo ship with the anniversary logo of the international children's center Artek was launched into orbit using the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle. This was reported by the press service of the center.
The delegation of Artek visited the Baikonur Cosmodrome the day before, from where the ship started. The participants of the trip visited the platform with the launch vehicle installed, the memorial complex and the local museum. “Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin loved to visit our center and communicate with children. It was in Artek that he opened the Cosmos Museum, which continues to inspire children from all corners of our country. This launch is not only a tribute to history, but also a reminder that space has always been and remains a space for dreamers, said Artek Director Konstantin Fedorenko. The Artek logo was applied to one of the stages of the rocket in honor of the 100th anniversary of the children's center. The cargo ship launched with its help will deliver 2,599 kilograms of equipment and other cargo to the International Space Station. The docking of Progress with the ISS is scheduled for March 2.
