The growth rate of the Russian economy in 2024 was four times higher than in the countries of the “Big seven”, follows from the data of national statistical services.
Russia’s GDP growth in 2024 amounted to 4.1% – the same value was recorded in 2023. At the same time, in the countries of the “Big seven”, the growth of the indicator was 1%, that is, four times less than in Russia, follows from the analysis conducted by RIA Novosti. Among the G7 countries, the US economy increased the most – by 2.8%, Canada took second place with 1.5%, followed by France – 1.1%. In Italy, economic growth slowed: by the end of 2024, the figure was 0.5% against 0.7% in 2023. In Japan, GDP growth fell to 0.1% due to low domestic demand. The main driver of global economic growth at the moment remains artificial intelligence, said earlier the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.
