There is still snow on the street, and in the greenhouses of the Lipetsk “Zelenkhoz” there is a sunny spring mood. Here the most delicate symbols of the main women's holiday - tulips bloom. Preparing for the spring holiday began in October. It was then that the bulbs were planted in crates and placed in the basement for several months. And at the end of January, seedlings were moved to greenhouses for “mature”. In the next two weeks, some tulips should have buds. Some, like these, are already ready. To collect flowers, it is important not to miss the moment. The tulips are pulled out of the ground before the buds have opened. The collected flowers are cleaned from the soil and packaged in paper - along with tubers. The tulips will remain fresh until March 8. Bouquets are shaped by flowers. For storage, you need a low temperature - until March 8, they will be stored in the refrigerator for growing. In the greenhouse planted more than a dozen Dutch varieties. Of the new products - "Update", "Tom-pus", "Saigon" and "Luba". Classic red, calm shades of purple or rich orange - all types are in demand. Alexey Yakovlev, chief agronomist: - Each of us has its own individual taste. someone likes cold tones, someone colored. People love yellow tulips in the spring. Spring, warm, sunshine, apparently. Experts advise - when choosing tulips - to pay attention to the bud. It should be tight and barely open. Then the bouquet will long please the eye. In total, by the spring holiday, 20,000 flowers will be prepared in Zelenkhoz.
