He believes that even against the backdrop of sanctions, state assistance to businesses engaged in foreign economic activity will not weaken. We are confident that all the projects we are carrying out are so important for the economy and for our citizens that no credit cooling should be allowed on our agenda. Where funding is needed for these projects, we are fully prepared. Naturally, it is determined by the President and the Government. Commercial banks are fully prepared to participate in any such project. They expect support measures, including a project finance factory or an XR insurance mechanism. They know our mechanisms well, and these mechanisms are in demand all the time, Shuvalov said. He cited the project of modernization of urban electric transport in Nizhny Novgorod, calling it a model of successful public-private partnership. With the financial support of VEB.RF, the main investor of the program, 77 Minin trams have already been delivered to the capital of the Volga region. “We are interested not only in the tram, but also in the streets being lit. This is a model of public-private partnership, good partners. They produce first-class lighting equipment. They compete with foreign manufacturers, and I think that there are great prospects here, the head of VEB.RF said. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin previously pointed to the importance of expanding support for VEB.RF projects and creating jobs.
