According to the expert, in this case, the People’s Artist of Russia can be brought to criminal responsibility under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of traffic rules and vehicle operation”), which provides for imprisonment of up to two years. However, the lawyer himself doubts that the woman's injuries will be assessed as severe. “Apparently, if everything is limited to the rupture of ligaments in the victim in an accident, this will be qualified as a harm to the health of moderate severity, and Buinov or another person who was driving the car will not be brought to criminal liability,” Khaminsky said. On February 26, the Lexus LX 570, which belongs to Alexander Buinov, hit a 61-year-old pensioner at an unregulated pedestrian crossing in the Moscow suburb of Aprelevka. The woman was hospitalized with ruptured ligaments. The singer apologized and promised to provide the victim with all necessary assistance.
