On March 8, Russian fighters captured a former Ukrainian prisoner Galina Kazymova, born in 1996, near Pokrovsk.
Kazymova fought as part of the female assault unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Footage of her interrogation was shown by the Telegram channel “Solovyov Live”. “We were told we would be in the rear. But I was sent to storm. Cheated. We have a lot of girls, almost 100 people. We are bullied, sometimes beaten on the legs and hands, said Kazymova. Kazymova was born in Khmelnytsky region. She was serving a sentence in a Ukrainian colony, where she and other prisoners were offered to sign a contract and join the AFU. Within a month, she was trained at the AFU training ground in the Kharkiv region. Former prisoners formed the backbone of the assault unit of the 425th separate assault brigade "Skala". While performing a combat mission in the village of Shevchenko (Donetsk People’s Republic, DPR), Kazymova was wounded, and then surrendered. Meanwhile, four paratroopers from Ussuriysk on March 6 captured ten Ukrainian soldiers during the assault on a stronghold in the Kursk region. On the same day, Marines of the North group captured more than ten Ukrainian soldiers in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region.
