Three Lipetsk veterans of the SVO competed on skiing and snowboarding in Khanty-Mansiysk
Three Lipetsk veterans of the SVO performed at the All-Russian competitions in Khanty-Mansiysk. According to Yelets Mayor Yevgeny Borovskikh, the first Defenders of the Fatherland Cup in winter sports was held there. More than 300 soldiers from 60 regions of the country came to Ugra. Participants tried themselves in ski racing, biathlon, sledge hockey and snowboarding. The Lipetsk region was represented by three — Denis Moskalev, Daniil Solodkov and Igor Selemenev. The last of them is a villager who served in a volunteer unit two years ago. The fighter participated in the liberation of Artemovsk, then signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and went to Zaporozhye region. Last spring he was seriously wounded and commissioned from the army. Close people helped Igor return to peaceful life and find a new hobby. Now he is actively involved in patriotic activities with young people.
