📝 Summary

Any country in Russia’s place would continue to strike, despite a pause in the supply of US military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), said US President Donald Trump during a meeting with reporters at the White House.

The U.S. suspended military aid to Kiev in early March, and White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt later clarified that such a measure is needed to review funding for Ukraine. I think he [Russian President Vladimir Putin] is hitting them harder than before. And I think everyone in that situation would do that now, Trump said. The American leader may resume arms supplies to Ukraine after he sees Kiev’s readiness for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote a letter to Donald Trump shortly after the suspension of assistance, in which he expressed his readiness for negotiations.
