📝 Summary

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) withheld a huge number of documents in the case of businessman Jeffrey Epstein, said U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.

According to the New York Post, the bureau hid “thousands of pages of documents.” All but 200 pages are stored in the FBI’s New York office. Bondi only learned about the documents on February 26 and requested them for review. “By February 28, the FBI will deliver to my office a complete and comprehensive Epstein dossier, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, and material related to him and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained.” Bondi added that initially the FBI was given only the victims' phone numbers and flight logs. Earlier media reported that the American Senator Marsha Blackburn and member of the house of representatives Tim Burchett intend to seek from the President of the United States Donald trump the publication of materials of the case of Epstein, accused of trafficking in persons and incitement to prostitution. At the same time, it was noted that Blackburn tried to declassify the case materials for quite a long time. Financier Jeffrey Epstein was taken into custody in 2019, he was accused of trafficking in people, including minors, incitement to prostitution and rape. In August of the same year, the billionaire committed suicide in a prison cell.
