Today is the Day of Remembrance of Russians who performed their official duty outside the Fatherland. On February 15, 1989, the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan was completed. This war lasted almost 10 years and claimed the lives of more than 15 thousand Soviet soldiers, 109 of them were Kuryans.
