Vladikavkaz joined the action “Land of Heroes”. A commemorative event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Glory Memorial. The action was attended by the mayor of Vladikavkaz Vyacheslav Mildzikhov, representatives of military structures, the government of the republic, the city administration and youth workers, the press service of the AMC reported. In a solemn atmosphere, land collected from the places of fierce battles in the village of Elkhotovo was placed in a special kit. Together with land from other subjects of the Southern Federal District, it will be stored in the main temple of the Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don. Also in memory of those killed during the Great Patriotic War, a "Volley of Memory" was sounded. The shot was fired from an artillery gun.
