This was said by Georgy Sedov, the famous hydrographer and conqueror of the Arctic. 115 years ago, he published Women’s Right at Sea, a small pamphlet in which a man first encouraged women to enter the maritime profession. </p> Sedov stressed that the ladies should be freely admitted to ships and recognize their right to sea travel. Back then, this idea was innovative, even fantastic, today women working in the sea - "sea". </p> <p> "Weaker sex" manages ships, engaged in marine research, fishing. But everyone’s “right” must first be earned. The Marine Brotherhood accepts only brave and strong-minded women. <p> This project is about the workers of the Arctic seas, about those who paved the way for women in the marine professions in the past and who are following this course today.
