The condition of a 9-year-old boy bitten by dogs in Sochi remains severe but stable. The child was transported from Krasnodar to Moscow by sanitary aviation.
According to TASS, citing data from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, specialists of federal centers, including plastic surgeons and resuscitators, are involved in the treatment of the boy. Several medical consultations were conducted. "At the moment, doctors assess his condition as stably severe," the ministry said. On the morning of February 26, two neighboring husky attacked the boy near his house in the village of Lesnoe. Aggressive animals tore the child's face. He was hospitalized and, after stabilizing his condition, transported from Sochi to a regional hospital in Krasnodar. The father of the schoolboy had to collect fragments of his son’s face at the scene of the incident to hand them over to the doctors. According to Valentin Korolev, the dogs ate the boy’s face from his eyes to his lower lip. The dogs were put to sleep. According to some reports, the owner of the husky before the incident did not feed them for about 10 days. He was charged with causing serious harm to health through negligence and a preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave.
