This is reported by TASS. According to the agency, this scared the Chisinau citizens. Despite the concerns of residents of the Moldovan capital, the factory noted that they had to resort to such a method in the current conditions. “In order to cope with all the challenges, we have to resort to the use of fuel oil,” Ekaterina Chekina, director of Bukuria, told Agora. Due to the technical features of fuel combustion, this thick black smoke can sometimes appear in the boiler. There has been an energy crisis in Moldova since the beginning of the year. It is caused by Ukraine’s refusal to sign a new agreement on the transit of Russian gas to Western Europe. Due to the lack of fuel in the republic, tariffs were increased.
