The investigation found that in October 2024, a fire occurred in an abandoned house on Transit Street, where homeless people were staying, due to careless handling of fire. A group of five people - three women and two men - were consuming alcoholic beverages. At some point, when everyone went to sleep, one of the men, in a state of alcohol intoxication, dropped a cigarette, causing the fire. Four of the people in the house died from carbon monoxide poisoning. The perpetrator of the tragedy will serve 2 years and 3 months in a general regime colony, as reported in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia.
