The bomb was discovered in the morning in the northern suburbs of Paris during construction work, right in the middle of the railway tracks, reports Reuters. Mine clearance is currently underway. It is located 2.5 kilometers from the Gare du Nord station. “The disruption affected commuter trains, as well as national and international trains, including Eurostar trains,” Reuters said. Gare du Nord, Europe’s busiest railway station, handles around 220 million passengers annually, travelling to destinations in northern France as well as London, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
