Children between the ages of 10 and 18 will now be able to ride long-distance trains at half-price all year round, not just during the summer holidays. The relevant decree was issued by the government.
The discount applies to tickets on trains of all categories (with the exception of high-speed trains) in reserve, common cars and in cars of the second and third classes in motor-wagon rolling stock. To buy a ticket for half the price, the child must study full-time in general educational institutions.
