📝 Summary
As part of training activities organized by the US Air Force, on March 6 at the Rovajärvi training ground in Finnish Lapland, American B-52s dropped JDAM bombs. The bombers were accompanied by Finnish Air Force F/A-18 Hornet fighters. This event was the first case of dropping bombs by American bombers in Finland. Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Finland Pavel Kuznetsov told RIA Novosti that demonstrative flights of American B-52 strategic bombers over Finland may indicate that the Pentagon has begun practical preparations for the use of this region as a potential theater of war. Finland became a NATO member on April 4, 2023. Earlier, Gloucestershire Live reported that the fourth US strategic bomber B-52 arrived in Britain.
