Anora wins awards at Independent Spirit Awards

The film won awards in the nominations “Best Director”, “Best Film” and “Best Performance of a Leading Role”, reports TASS. In January, it became known that the Russian actor Yuru Borisov, who played in “Anora”, was nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actor. The Academy Awards ceremony will be held on March 2. For the award in this category, along with Borisov, will compete Kiran Culkin, who played in the film “True Pain”, Jeremy Strong for the film “The Apprentice. The Rise of Trump”, Edward Norton for his role in the film “Bob Dylan: Unknown to Anyone” and Guy Pearce for his role in “Brutalist”. Borisov for his work in "Anora" was also nominated for the Screen Actors Guild of the USA and the Golden Globe in the category of best supporting male role, but did not receive awards.
