📝 Summary

In the Vladimir region completed the investigation of the criminal case of Denis Pischikov, who is accused of killing three pensioners. He has been behind bars for over 20 years.

A wave of brutal murders and robberies swept through the Moscow and Vladimir regions in the early zero years. The attacker came to a remote village, found the house of a lonely pensioner, knocked and asked for a glass of water or a piece of bread. The hostess felt sorry for him and invited him in. In response, they received a fatal blow with an axe. The criminal took money and valuables from the house, after which he calmly left. The list of victims was updated every month. Law enforcement officers realized that they were dealing with a serial killer, and combined the criminal cases into one. Trying to find witnesses or any leads, the operatives traveled from one settlement to another. Finally, they were lucky – the surviving victim of the assassination described the perpetrator. It was possible to compile a photo sketch, the suspect was put on the federal wanted list. They were looking for a blond young man of 20 years, of medium build. In April 2023, a woman called one of the police departments of Orekhovo-Zuevo and said that an unknown young man, very similar to a photo sketch, was seen in her village. Law enforcement officers immediately went to the place, where a little later detained 21-year-old Denis Pischikov. It turned out that he moved to the central region from the Sverdlovsk region a few years ago. He has been convicted of hooliganism and theft. He was wanted for the same crimes he committed in Moscow. After another theft, Pischikov was caught, the court left him under a subscription not to leave, after which Pischikov went on the run. Denis Pischikov confessed to the crimes quite quickly. He repented and explained that he was being pushed to the murders by voices in his head. However, the forensic psychiatric examination did not reveal any deviations in Pischikov. In the summer of 2004, the Moscow Regional Court sentenced Pischikov to life imprisonment for 14 proven murders. He was sent to serve his sentence in the Solikamsk special regime colony "White Swan". Operatives continued to investigate unsolved episodes. Pischikov later confessed to three more murders. After checking the testimony at the crime scenes, the killer was sent for a second forensic psychiatric examination, which again confirmed his sanity. In the near future, Denis Pischikov is waiting for another trial.
