In Donetsk opened a monument to Heroes-rescuers of the DPR

The opening ceremony took place on February 22. It was attended by the Director of the Department of Personnel Policy of the EMERCOM of Russia Lev Trusov and the head of the Main Department of the EMERCOM of Russia for the DPR Alexei Kostrubitsky. “Being a rescuer in Donbass is like serving on the frontline,” DPR head Denis Pushilin wrote in his Telegram channel. According to him, 30 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have died in the republic since 2015 and 258 people have been wounded. Over the past year and two months, the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 660 people, including 47 children. Pushilin recalled that last year in Horlivka killed the head of the fire and rescue team Sergei Nikitenko. He has held this position for the past ten years. By decree of the President of Russia Nikitenko was awarded the Order of Courage. During the ceremony, this award was given to his widow. “Emergency officers are our pride.
