“Being a counselor is cool”: in Volgograd is preparing for the summer health campaign

A large family of counselors. Students – future teachers – have already worked in children’s health camps in the region. Soon they will pass on their experience to those who are just taking the first steps along the way. Within the framework of the regional school of leadership skills "Participation" curators will talk about the organization of mass events, first aid, the regulatory framework of the leader's activities and not only. “We are waiting for a great preparation for creative and methodological programs, a competition of methodological developments will be held. There is also a sports program ahead. The work is big, but interesting. It really allows you to express yourself, plunge into the world of childhood and live all that awaits us in the summer, now, says VSPU student Victoria Bukhareva. The main stage of preparation is instructional fees. This year they will be held at the Avangard military sports camp in Srednekhtuba district. “It is certainly a very important three days. They are significant for those who have never been a child or counselor in the camp. For example, that person was me. Here they help to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere, to understand how to behave both in the place of the child and in the place of the counselor, says VSPU student Araksi Mkhitaryan. Instructional training will bring together 800 students from different parts of the region. “Separately, I would like to note that we will have specialized training this year at the Avangard sports camp.” The children will pass the basics of the defense of the homeland in the center "Warrior", prepare for tactical medicine, learn to control drones. They'll run in the trenches, play laser tags. They will become not only guides, but also mentors, an example. They will get their role in the framework of “Zarnitsa 2.0”, explains the coordinator of the regional school of teacher skills “Participation” Christina Koroleva. The collections will be dedicated to the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland and the anniversary of the Great Victory. The theme of preserving the historical memory and feat of defenders of the Motherland in 2025 will be the key in the shift programs, reports STRK Volgograd-TRV.
