The victim was hospitalized in the intensive care unit. He was examined by resuscitators and surgeons, and the necessary diagnostics were also carried out. “The child was diagnosed with an extensive lacerated wound of the face and thigh. <...> [he] is on the ventilator, his condition is assessed as stably severe,” said Dmitry Promethnoy, head of the intensive care unit of the RDCB. After all the examinations, the boy is planned to undergo a multi-stage surgical treatment with combined plasticity of the central area of the face. The incident occurred on the morning of February 26. The boy was hospitalized in serious condition with lacerations. On February 27, the child was operated on, but the nose and upper lip, which were torn by the animals, did not take root. The dog was owned by a 48-year-old local resident. During the interrogation, he admitted his guilt and said that he could not feed the dogs for several days. The criminal case was initiated under Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Causing serious harm through negligence”). The man is under a subscription not to leave. His dogs were put to sleep.
