The UVB-76 radio station, known to amateurs as Doomsday Radio, showed unprecedented activity three years after the start of a special military operation.
This month, it aired 46 times, according to the Telegram-channel “UVB-76 Logic”. It is noteworthy that the peak of the station’s activity was recorded on February 12, the day of the telephone conversation between the leaders of Russia and the United States. A total of 25 messages were broadcast. The first words were synopsis and nartha. Subsequently, they sounded: "Bulvar", "plagiarism", "adofert", "micropora", "coarsening", "child" and others that do not have obvious meaning. The last words - "yotolast" and "runic" - the station broadcast on March 3. UVB-76, also known as Buzzle, has been broadcasting continuously since the mid-1970s. It transmits a short signal that repeats 25 times per minute, sometimes interrupted by a set of letters, numbers and words, the meaning of which is considered impossible to unravel. It is believed that UVB-76 may be part of the Perimeter system, which launches a retaliatory nuclear strike in the event of a broadcast interruption of the station due to a nuclear strike on Russia. UVB-76 is also known as the Doomsday Radio Station. According to one version, the content of the messages is encrypted using the Vernam system, which cannot be decrypted without a special key that exists in a single copy for a specific message. In December last year, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Kartapolov urged not to look for secret meanings where they do not exist and not to whip up panic. So he commented on the information that UBV-76 is part of the system "Perimeter". He noted that this radio station has a certain task not related to nuclear deterrence.
